Doors: 6:30 PM
Show: 7PM – 10 PM
Santa Monica, CA (June 7, 2022) – KCRW is proud to present the very first Young Creators Project Showcase, featuring the incredible local musicians, poets, storytellers and visual artists, under the age of 21, chosen as part of KCRW’s Young Creators Project. The showcase is free, all ages and open to the public, and takes place at The Mayan in Downtown LA on Sunday, June 12th. Doors are at 6:30PM, and the show is from 7PM-10PM.
The inaugural Young Creators Project was developed to discover Los Angeles-area musicians, storytellers, poets and artists (under the age of 21). KCRW music and culture teams as well as industry executives selected the best of the best, which were highlighted on air and across KCRW’s social media and marketing platforms. In addition, KCRW presented AMA’s and group critiques with KCRW staff and industry career-makers to help launch the next generation of talent.
The project will culminate at KCRW’s Young Creators Project Showcase, giving the general public an opportunity to see these featured artists live and discover their new favorite creator.
