Los Angeles, CA (March 10, 2015) — Los Angeles-based public radio station KCRW is kicking off SXSW 2015 on Wednesday, March 18, with TWO official showcases open to anyone with a festival badge or wristband (No RSVP needed).
We return to The Parish on Wednesday night from 8pm to 2am, with a lineup led by ODESZA, who easily claim the title of one of the most booked bands on the summer festival circuit this year! Road warriors Delta Spirit, Brooklyn-based electronic pop artist Big Data, LA breakout band BØRNS, Australian future soul collective Hiatus Kaiyote and UK rockers Wolf Alice round out the lineup.
KCRW takes over the Radio Day Stage at the Convention Center, which has some of the best sound in the city, from 2-5pm.
Two captivating singer songwriters from the UK – James Bay and Laura Marling – lead a lineup topped off by Germany’s Milky Chance, who have one of this year’s biggest singles in modern rock with the undeniably catchy “Stolen Dance”.
Find us on the 4th Floor – what better way to start your week of music watching?
KCRW is also the radio sponsor for the first-ever FLOODfest, taking place at the Cedar Street Courtyard over four days in Austin during SXSW and featuring artists like; Spoon, Courtney Barnett, Best Coast, Twin Shadow, Amason, Geographer, The Ting Tings, and many more.
