Los Angeles, CA & Park City, UT —  KCRW will be heading to the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City to host three nights of music at the Festival Music Café Presented by Acura later this week, including performances by The Fela! Band, Sondre Lerche, Wild Cub, Dan Deacon and Carmen Rizzo.

This is the second year the LA public radio station has joined forces with the independent film festival to program evening music performances.

The shows will take place from 9:30pm to midnight on January 17-19 and are free and open to the public (21 and Older).

KCRW DJs Chris Douridas, Mathieu Schreyer, and Dan Wilcox will be spinning sets of music between bands to keep the party going.

In addition, Music Director Jason Bentley and DJ Anne Litt, both celebrated music supervisors, will co-host live radio broadcasts directly from the KCRW Studio at The Acura Prism, located at the corner of Main and Heber in the heart of downtown Park City.  Programs will include interviews with actors, directors, and musicians with ties to featured films at the Festival.

Broadcasts will air on Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19, from noon to 3:00 p.m. PT, as well as a live broadcast of the station’s signature show Morning Becomes Eclectic on Monday, January 20, from 9:00 a.m. to noon PT.

Local NPR affiliate KPCW Park City will simulcast the weekend broadcasts on 91.9FM so local listeners can hear an outsider’s perspective on the festival.

The Acura Prism will also host Happy Hour DJ sets with Jason Bentley from 4-6pm on Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18 from the balcony of Zoom restaurant. Jason will be joined by Grammy-nominated EDM artist Kaskade and Golden Globe-winner Alex Ebert for Guest DJ sets.

The curator of KCRW’s film series First Take, Matt Holzman, will also be attending and covering the festival, as well as Kim Masters, host of The Business, and show producer Darby Maloney.
