​​Monday, Dec. 10 John Grant “He’s Got His Mother’s Hips”

Electro-crooner John Grant snuck up on us this year with a fun track, that has a do​se​ of Frank Zappa’s humor and a bit of roller skate disco. A giant at 6’10”, Grant’s new album finds him hitting his stride at the tender age of 50; enjoy “He’s Got His Mother’s Hips.”

​​Tuesday, Dec. 11 Piroshka “Everlastingly Yours”

Named after a missile, Piroshka is also the name for a tangled family tree of musicians from Lush, Moose, Elastica and Modern English.  Their first projectile is “Everlastingly Yours.”

​​Wednesday, Dec. 12 Amos Lee “Little Light” 

When Amos Lee met Maya, a 9-year-old friend with cancer and her family, he offered to help the best way he knew how, through music. Lee texted the family in the form of song, to help cheer her on through tough times. “Little Light” was written and inspired by Maya.

​​Thursday, Dec. 13 Neneh Cherry “Kong”

Neneh Cherry came up in the late 80’s with a strong socio/political voice. A frequent collaborator who doesn’t release much of her own music, her new album is all about personal politics, check out “Kong.”

​​Friday, Dec. 14 The Horrors “Something to Remember Me By” Live on MBE

Dark synth rockers The Horrors finished up their US tour with a session on Morning Becomes Eclectic. They left us with “Something To Remember Me By.”
