Calling all OC listeners, beer geeks and Good Foodies who love a good time (yes that means you) – the next Good Food/OC Weekly Happy Hour is scheduled for THIS Thursday, February 7th at The Bruery in Placentia. The usual $5 drinks, eats, cookbook giveaways and all around fun return from 7-9pm. Gustavo Arellano has secured Soho Taco, Taco Maria (rumor has it those bone marrow quesadillas Gustavo raved about might be there!) and Seabirds for your dining pleasure. The trucks have just announced their specials:

  • Seabirds will have Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Chestnuts and Chile Oil. YUMM…
  • From Carlos Salgado of Taco María: mini-bone marrow quesadilla, or chips, salsa and agua fresca.
  • From the Soho guys: a shrimp taco, chips, and salsa.

As if that weren’t enough, Aaron Horowitz of the Bruery says he has brewed two 5-gallon batches of beer made exclusively for this event. He says, “The first will be Humulus Lager with whole jasmine. Humulus Lager, a beer we call an IPL or India Pale Lager, is one of our most popular beers and any variation is usually a draw for us in the Tasting Room. The second will be Tart of Darkness–a sour stout aged in bourbon barrels–with cherries and vanilla. This event will be the first time anyone will be able to try this year’s variation of that beer.”

Drinks of course will also be $5.

See you at 7pm!
