What went wrong at Camp Pendleton? Officials aren’t saying much about an accident that killed four Marines yesterday. They were doing a routine sweep to make a range safe for future training exercises. There was apparently no live firing on the range at the time. The base says the cause of the accident is under investigation, and that more information will be released as it becomes available…California appears to be a rare bright spot in the effort to get people signed up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The state’s new healthcare insurance exchange released its first enrollment numbers. About 59,000 Californians have signed up for individual health plans under the Affordable Care Act. Kershaw has won his second Cy Young Award as the National League’s best pitcher. Sandy Koufax is the only other Dodger pitcher to win more than one (he won three). Kershaw took the loss during the Dodger’s season-ending defeat to the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series. But his 1.83 ERA was the lowest in the big leagues in a dozen years.
