California Governor Brown is in the midst of a week-long visit to China, where he hopes to drum up trade and investment.
In Beijing, he talked to students, academics and energy officials about collaborating in a greener future.
Reporter Jocelyn Ford tagged along to see what kind of traction the governor’s clean ‘n green ideas are getting in the capital of the world’s most polluted country.
Governor Brown’s job at the energy innovation dialogue was to talk up California’s role in combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions.
“I’m very happy to say that California is in the forefront in many respects,” Brown said. ” I won’t say we’re doing enough. But the mere fact that here I am, the office of California governor, we’re talking low carbon, that’s already amazing. If I were to look further east in the United States, they aren’t doing much.”
