Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Vice President Joe Biden has been meeting with  film industry representatives and video game makers to talk about the prevalence of gun violence on the big, little, and mobile screen. While the film industry won’t give into government controls over content, might they be open to a ratings system?   Variety’s Ted Johnson told Warren, ”The industry is in somewhat of a pickle because you do have so many within the entertainment community who are in favor of gun control measures and yet you do have many of them who perform, write and direct these very violent movies.” (As evidenced by this video).

At the same time, video games have eclipsed movies in their violence and their popularity — and they aren’t shy to product placement.

Below, Warren talks to Variety’s Ted Johnson and The New York Times’ Andrew Martin about the movies, Quentin Tarantino, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II:

Why blame video games? It wouldn't be fun if some games didn't have these kind of features.
