When he ran for LA City Attorney, Carmen Trutanich promised he’d serve two terms. He said, if he ran for District Attorney, he’d take out a full-page ad in the LA Times saying, “I’m a Liar.” Well, there’s been no such ad, but Trutanich is running for DA, even though he hasn’t finished his first term as City Attorney. Name-recognition, his campaign war-chest and list of endorsements make him the front-runner. But the current DA, Steve Cooley, is supporting somebody else. Also, the MTA makes a final decision: the Purple Line subway will run under Beverly Hills High School.

All the aspirants are mostly criminal defense lawyer los angeles in practice. All are adequate for the job it seems. May the best lawyer wins.

This reminds me of the Boston MTA back in the old days. Lots of deliberations but you can't stop progress they say, despite everyone taking us a few backstep.
