Be you exercise freak or couch potato, remember that the Los Angeles Marathon is this Sunday. Runners will start at Dodger Stadium and end at the Santa Monica Pier. In between they’ll pass a gallery of local landmarks, from Los Angeles City Hall and the Cathedral of our Lady of Angels to the Capitol Records building and the Chauteau Marmont. You can see a full map of the course below.

Because storms are expected to hit Southern California this weekend, marathon organizers are cautioning runners to prepare for cold, wet conditions that could lead to hypothermia.

Keep the spirit of Pheidippides alive runners. He’s the original marathoner, the guy who in 490 BC was supposed to have huffed and puffed from the battlefield of Marathon to Athens  to announce the Greeks’ defeat of the Persians.

I wish that marathon runs were present in my city. We don't have those so no runner's guild. I would love to join one and keep fit for the weekends.
