Will what’s worked for the New York Times  to bring in new revenue also work for the  L.A. Times? Southern California’s paper of record has just announced it will start charging for online access. How much? 99 cents for four weeks. The paywall goes up on March 5. Readers who don’t subscribe can read up to 15 stories a month for free.
