Laura Lau now lives in Singapore, but she was raised in Los Angeles; her late mother was the legendary Chinese astrologer, Theodora Lau. Their book is called “The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes“.
Laura joined us via phone to talk about what the year of the dragon might mean, if you believe in astrological points-of-view.

Except there's no hole in the ceiling of the studio, and much better plumbing. At KCRW, Lisa roots out artists, authors and innovators in the vast sprawling metropolis of LA. She has worked at Marketplace, the NY Times, MSNBC and CNN, although she considers her biggest accomplishment learning to swim at the age of 37. A graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass, Lisa was raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY.
