I just love Zach Behrens. He is editor and writer for LAist.com. Whenever I go to his site I learn something. Always interesting, I marvel at how he does it. I stumbled on this today, under the heading Photo of the day Parking Meter Activism.

I remember when I was little, riding in the car with my parents, they listened to the music they used to hear when they were teenagers/young adults. Perry Como, Frank, Anita O’day, Ella and more. As I got older, they continued to listen to the same music while I graduated from Row Row Row Your Boat to Led Zeppelin. I remember wondering would I be listening to Led Zeppelin with my young children in the car? It seemed like a strange notion. Well I did – Zeppelin, Bowie, Hendrix, BTO, Chicago, …

Traffic can mean so many things. People engaging in trade with each other. Trafficking goods, that’s good. Trafficking drugs, that’s bad. Human trafficking, my God, that’s horrible. Data traffic, that’s cool. Satellite traffic, network traffic, a very good thing. So much traffic, and we haven’t even mentioned cars or freeways.
The word traffic was used to describe moving goods and people. Unless you’re talking cybertalk, today traffic usually refers to a bunch of vehicles – all being stuck in between each other. All those mufflers spewing toxic gas at you, while keeping …
