The city of Los Angeles impounds the cars of unlicensed drivers for up to 30 days – which costs an average of $2,000.00. Mayor Villaraigosa and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck want to end that practice. I was driving home from work about this time of the year a couple of years ago . I took Malibu Canyon and it was dark, very dark. Out of nowhere, a dear fell from the sky onto the hood of my car. Well, technically he jumped onto the hood of my car. Though from my perspective it appeared as if he just dropped from the dark sky, and kaboom was sprawled on my hood and windshield, starring at me through the glass.
