Space Shuttle Viewing Areas.
Forum – Oct 13 from 8a-10a. Free parking at the Hollywood Park Race Track. No overnight stays and the lot opens at 4am.
Crenshaw and MLK – Around 2p the shuttle will stop for half an hour and the public can view from a dedicated area north on Crenshaw from MLK.
Bill Robertson Lane – On Oct 13, the shuttle will reach its final destination.
Four parking lots have been set up to watch the shuttle roll up to the California Science Center. It should arrive around 8:30pm.
Use of the Expo Line is recommended.

Monday’s morning rush hour(s) on the West Side could be tough, although a number of people have the day off due to Columbus Day.
Most banks, government offices and the US Postal service will be closed.
At 8:15am President Obama will be attending a fundraising breakfast at the Pacific Palisades home of syndication mogul Michael King and his wife Jena.

CicLAvia is this Sunday, October 7. There will be street closures across Downtown Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, Macarthur Park and Exposition Park. Though the event happens from 10am until 3pm, the closures for CicLAvia will begin as early as 6am and last as late as 5pm.
Oh and don’t forget, President Obama will be at Nokia Theater for a fundraising concert.
But wait there’s more, a big and final party to celebrate the new 12 acre, 56 million dollar Grand Park. The celebration will include entertainment including jazz music, mariachi players, dance performers and fireworks. On Sunday the party continues and Grand Park will be one of the six hubs for the CicLAvia ride.

7:25 a.m. – Elite amateurs
7:30 a.m. – All divisions in waves of 150 each
12:00 p.m. – Finish line festival at L.A. LIVE! Nokia Plaza Awards ceremony
