We have all heard… the rain it’s a comin’ and a comin’ and a comin’ - it’s pouring! Affecting all of us 405 or not. Be prepared, leave early, and for the love of God, PACK-A-SNACK!!!!
Keep in mind, cars start to hydroplane at 55 mph. So please, for your sake and the sake of all the drivers around you SLOW DOWN. Turn your headlights on when it is raining…IT’S THE LAW! Ha Ha…but truly, it is. Also, stay in middle lanes on the freeway. The fast and slow lanes tend to flood. I was just driving SB on PCH in Santa Monica, heading into the McClure tunnel. I was in the left lane and bam zoom…so much water. It didn’t even look like water was there, let alone that much. Appearances can be deceiving. Oh yeah, don’t use your cruise control either…very dangerous when raining and on wet pavement.
