Here’s one from my good friends at Total Traffic..though my info is, that they are cracking down on everything that distract you…cell phones, eating, using your GPS, tweeting, putting on makeup…texting? FORGET about it! No status updates. No taking pictures either Kajon! I also heard it was going to last longer.
“CHP is cracking down on cellphone usage while driving and Friday December 30 will be ”Zero Tolerance Cellphone Enforcement Day!”
Enforcement will go on between 6am Friday and 6am Saturday.  CHP will be on high alert for distracted drivers….”

Looks like cops got a little of the holiday cheer and are laying off the DUI checkpoints tonight.  There are a few areas that are doing “roving saturation patrols” which are when officers go out specifically looking for drunk drivers.
Remember, CHP is also on Maximum Enforcement which means all available officers are on duty and on the road….total traffic
