I think it’s pretty obvious we’re fans of The Office around here, especially now that we’ve had actress Melora Hardin (who played Jan), director Paul Feig and now Ed Helms on the show.
Ed, who is also a former Daily Show correspondent, was as funny as I had hoped, taking us on a musical journey throughout his life – from his childhood crush on Dolly Parton to a great appreciation for 80’s rockers Europe and his favorite hangover music, the Cannonball Adderley Quintet.

When I woke yesterday morning, I would have no idea that my day would contain a running theme provided by the hit song “9 to 5″ by Dolly Parton.

“The Office” is one of those TV shows that I know is fantastic, but that I haven’t seen much of because, honestly, I’m mostly out at shows! However, I have caught it a few times, including the famous baby shower episode where Jan, Michael Scott’s former boss and lover, sings “Son of a Preacher Man” as a lullaby to her newborn daughter.
