So Much New Music! Glass Animals, Jamestown Revival, How to Dress Well

What a week for new music!

In addition to a surprise single from Father John Misty, we’ve been treated to new tracks from forthcoming releases by Blind Pilot, Glass Animals, Jamestown Revival and How to Dress Well.

UK’s Glass Animals released “Youth“, from their album “How To Be a Human Being” set for an August 26 release.

There seems to be a lot of thought behind this album (read more on NPR here), including a wacky web site related to their earlier single “Life Itself“.

They note on their FB page that the album was mainly fueled by “cereal, sushi and Thai food.” Delicious!

And I’m interested to hear more. We’ll host them Monday, August 29 live on MBE!

Blind Pilot continue to roll out lush, gorgeous tracks from their August 12 release “And Then Like Lions“.

Frontman Israel Nebeker turned loss into inspiration, teaming up with fellow Portland-er,  producer Tucker Martine, for this release.

They join us for a live set on August 24.

One of our favorite Americana duos – Jamestown Revival – is back in action. Now on a major label, they present “Love is a Burden”, the first single from their sophomore album. After a stint on the West Coast, the Texas natives returned home to record in a “ranch house turned studio” in Austin. The forthcoming album will be called “The Education of a Wandering Man”.

Tom Krell of How to Dress Well was here at the studio a few weeks ago to sing a song with Classixx during their MBE appearance.

We had some time to chat and he mentioned a new album was on the way. Sure enough, a new song landed in our inbox earlier this week – “Lost Youth / Lost You”. He collaborated with some great producers on the album “Care“, including Jack Antonoff (of Fun/ Bleachers)Dre SkullCFCF, and Kara-Lis Coverdale.
