SXSW on KCRW: How to Live Vicariously

Written by

Ah, Austin, Texas in the springtime! Attending SXSW is a wonderful way to celebrate the changing of the seasons, activating many senses, with sounds (lots & lots of bands), sights (bands’ colorful outfits while performing live on stage throughout the city) and even tastes (the ubiquitous BBQ). But we can’t all just up & leave our daily lives to attend a music festival con queso. Never fear – KCRW has you covered this weekend!

Starting tomorrow (Friday) at 9am, Morning Becomes Eclectic broadcasts live from Austin, as Jason Bentley and the rest of your KCRW pals bring you their personal take on what they’ve been up to in town during SXSW. And on Saturday afternoon, both Anne Litt (noon to 3pm) and Raul Campos (3 to 6pm) will bring you their shows from our secret Texas compound, smack in the middle of the action!

And if that weren’t enough, we will be teaming up with our VuHaus partners to video stream sets from some of the most anticipated performers at this year’s festival, available all Friday afternoon for your viewing pleasure. The schedule is below:

So tune in to KCRW for your vicarious SXSW experience. The only caveat: you’re on your own with the BBQ.
