Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Tuesday, August 4, Soul man Leon Bridges hails from Fort Worth, where he teamed up with members of fellow Texan band White Denim to produce his debut. He’s one of the most talked about new artists of the year and deservedly so.

Thursday, August 6, UK folk favorite Laura Marling moved boldly forward on her latest release, “Short Movie”. It was written on electric guitar and has a striking openness and intensity. Her last two visits to the station were solo acoustic sets, but this time she brings a full band to present these new songs.

Friday, August 7, Scottish art rockers Django Django veer seamlessly between pop and psych-rock sounds with some synths and electronic music thrown in for good measure. It’s a musical melange that works really well and we look forward to welcoming them back to our studio.

Monday, August 10, With a ragged voice and raucous songs, the rollicking rock of Langhorne Slim has been wowing audiences across the country for many years and we’re thrilled to welcome him in studio for his MBE debut.

Tuesday, August 11, Longtime KCRW favorite Hot Chip returns to share songs from their latest album “Why Make Sense?”. They’re not afraid to tackle complicated emotions and be vulnerable, which is extra impressive since it’s also one of the best dance records of the year.

Thursday, August 13, Ratatat’s 5th studio album “Magnifique” — their first in five years — is a return to their core guitar-driven sound after the sonic experimentation of their last two records. We’ll bring you a live session with the Brooklyn duo recorded at Sonos Studio.

Friday, August 14, Producer Jamie xx burst onto the music scene as part of the highly successful group The xx and finally released his solo debut earlier this year. It’s a dazzling collection of songs and is among the most played albums of the year at KCRW. We welcomed Jamie xx for a DJ set at Sonos Studio that is sure to get your weekend started right!
