Dolly Parton – “Jolene” (Todd Terje Remix)

Can Todd Terje do any wrong?

That’s rhetorical question because we all know the answer is NO!!!

The big Norwegian has been quiet on the edit front in the last couple of years, but came back recently with a new edit of Dolly Parton’s classic, “Jolene”.

Todd Terje gives the country diva a balearic disco rubdown on the edit. Nothing too tricky, but an effective remix for the dancefloor.

Tanlines – “Slipping Away”

Tanlines announced their long-awaited follow up to 2012’s “Mixed Emotions” this week. The new album will be called “Highlights” and is set for release on May 19th (they’ll also be playing at the Echoplex the night before).

To celebrate “Highlights” release, the New York duo released their first single, “Slipping Awayas a free download on Thursday.

Having listened to “Slipping Away” about four times in a row while writing this, I feel completely ready for summer to start.

Kanye West – “All Day” (Brillstein Remix)

Paul McCartney’s whistling skills are pushed to the forefront of Kanye West’s “All Day” on this new house remix by LA-based producer, Brillstein (a.k.a. Thee Mike B).

Brillstein’s remix takes the false outro of “All Day” to breezy new heights.
