Fyf Fest 2014 final

FYF Founder Sean Carlson stopped by KCRW this morning with big news — the highly anticipated lineup for this year’s festival, happening on Saturday, August 23 and and Sunday, August 24 at the LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park.

Phoenix is headlining the first night with The Strokes on night two, which is quite a surprise. (Interesting to note: Julian Casablancas and Albert Hammond Jr are playing as solo artists the first night!)

Seattle’s post hardcore band The Blood Brothers will play their first show in 8 years. A big reunion that came pretty much out of nowhere.  Also, Slowdive will be playing their first LA show in over 20 years!

Another notable score: Todd Terje will be playing live!!

The festival will have indoor and outdoor stages at this new location and is produced in association with Goldenvoice. Weekend passes will be $129, with single day tickets available for $89 Weekend VIP will also be available for $229 Tickets go on sale on Thursday, May 22nd at 12 p.m. PST via FYFFest.com.

FYF was founded in 2003 as a small, DIY festival at The Echo so it’s incredible to see how it’s grown!

To avoid the hassle of parking, I recommend reserving a discounted parking spot in advance for the Grand Park: http://www.parkme.com/los-angeles-parking/grand-park
