Producer Neil Davidge is on a hot streak.
One of Massive Attack’s sonic architects since their 1998 breakthrough, “Mezzanine”, he has branched out to work on film and video game soundtracks, including the score to Halo 4, which set the record for the highest-charting video game soundtrack ever.
Now he has made his first solo album: “Slo Light”, due February 25 via The End / 7Hz Records.
Here Davidge has collaborated with a slew of unique vocalists, from Cate Le Bon to Sandie Shaw. He included acclaimed Aussie newcomer Emi Green on one of the record’s centerpiece tracks, “Sleepwalking”, which sounds like the theme to a James Bond film set on the mean streets of Bristol.
We are excited to be premiering the song here and are looking forward to sharing the whole album in the upcoming weeks!
