When I first heard Franz Ferdinand’s new single, my automatic reaction was YES!!! THEY are BACK.
“Right Action” is everything you want from FF– a dance-y,disco rock track that is incredibly catchy. Jason Bentley even admitted to singing the song in his sleep this week!
The Scottish quartet made their U.S. radio debut on KCRW back in the day and they seemed happy to be back — they seemed to be having a blast, playing a bunch of new songs nearly a month in advance of their album release.

Singer Alex Kapranos says they are really enjoying writing right now so, after a four-year hiatus, perhaps we will have even more new songs headed our way after the album release. He even hinted at a collaboration in the works but refused to spill the beans saying he gave us an “almost world exclusive”.
Thanks for leaving us hanging, Alex!
Now we are intrigued and I hope to find out more soon.
