Swedish producer Chris Berg was in the midst of working with Depeche Mode on new material when he put his own personal touch on a track from LA trio Gliss called “Hunting”. They’ve always had a shimmery, synthy angle to their sound, which they call “late night art pop”, so it was a match made in music heaven:

Here’s the story behind the collaboration from Gliss’ Victoria Cecilia, who happens to be from Denmark. (Yay Scandinavia!)
“We had been keeping an eye on the work of producer Chris Berg for awhile. He had recently produced the Fever Ray album, and we just loved it. He also produced The Knife. We emailed back and forth and eventually met at a party in Laurel Canyon here in Los Angeles while he was working on the new Depeche Mode album. He heard our track “Hunting” and remixed it later that month at Jungle City Studios in New York City, while he was there with Depeche Mode.”
(Editor’s Note: Depeche will be releasing a single from their forthcoming album called “Heaven” on February 5!)
