I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to host Morning Becomes Eclectic this morning and started the show off with new tracks by two of my favorite bands of 2012Poolside and Chromatics.

Judging by the feedback I got, you guys love both tracks as much as I do so we thought it would be a good idea to post them both for you to download for free right here on the blog.

For their edit of Black Sabbath‘s “Planet Caravan”, Poolside keeps the hazy psychedelic vibe of Ozzy & Co.’s original song intact and augments it with a little tastefully added bounce.

With an assist from Glass Candy‘s Ida No on guitar, Chromatics‘ cover of “Ceremony” takes a bit of the post-punk edge off of New Order‘s original while frontwoman Ruth Radelet‘s smoky delivery gives the song a sultry new dimension. Check it out below via Soundcloud.

Enjoy! :)
