Hi, Rach -- Just stumbled on to a relatively new Folk/BG trio named "The Stray Birds," out of Pennsylvania. Looks likes they're touring the East and Mid-West now but haven't come West yet. They are startlingly good. Could KCRW break them out here? I found them when I opened up my NPR Music app and there they were, featured performers. Their Web site is &lt ;http://www.thestraybirds.com/fr_home.cfm>. Not on McCabe's radar yet, near as I can tell. Been around music and with KCRW a long time, and I hear quality and freshness like this only once in a long while. Had to let the station know about it, in case you hadn't already. Enjoy.
