*Anthony Valadez has called Zanzibar home on Friday nights for over four years. The dance party is called The Goods and it’s a fun night out on the Westside.  More info

*Dan Wilcox has been bringing the beats to Silverlake Wine tastings at Barnsdall Art Park in Los Feliz on Fridays throughout summer and this is the last one! It’s from 5:30 to 9pm. More info.

SATURDAY, September 1

*Anthony Valadez has a new Saturday night residency at the Sayers Club in Hollywood. From AV: “So low key you have to enter through the secret door of Papaya King…this weekend yours truly will be holding down the fort playing just about anything from The Clash to Raphael Saadiq, Ray Charles to Busta Rhymes. Yes! It’s that kinda night!” Doors open at 10 pm. More info

*Eric J Lawrence will DJ the 7th annual CityStock, a party at a private residence in Encino with live band performances, including Noah and the Megafauna, Ninja Betty & The Nunchix, and indie rock tribute band the Black Crystal Wolf Kids.  Passion of the Weiss will also be spinning between bands. SUNDAY, September 2

Mixology from 2pm to 7pm. It’s at the Grove. More info

*Raul Campos will make an appearance as part of Viva los Dodgers, a pre-game celebration that will also include performances by Ritmo Machine and Mexico Azteca Ballet. The game (vs. the Diamondbacks) begins at 1:10pm and the show takes places in the two hours prior. It’s all ages and free with ticket to the game. More info

*Garth Trinidad and his partner in the Jim Kelly event series, Mateo Senolia,  return to The Virgil for a night of sonic debauchery to celebrate the end of summer from 10pm to 2am. From the invite: “Come to join in the shaking of asses, enjoy slices of live performance, and expect the unexpected.”  More info

MONDAY, September 3

*Mathieu Schreyer spins at A Club Called Rhonda’s Labor Day celebration at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. Peanut Butter Wolf, J Rocc, Goddollars and others are on the bill for the eventn which is all day (1-7p) AND all night (9p-3a). According to my sources, Rhonda is one of LA’s best dance parties and is always pretty packed so find out more info and RSVP for free here.

*Chris Douridas hosts School Night at Bardot every Monday night and the September 3  edition will include a special guest that cannot yet be announced. It’s free with RSVP and doors open at 9pm. It’s 18+ More info
