From KCRW DJ Chris Muckley:

The Ting Tings are back with their sophomore album, “Songs From Nowheresville” (released last month on Columbia Records), and quite a few of us at KCRW are smitten with the song “Hit Me Down Sonny.”

This track, the second on the album, is a self-contained party anthem that is just begging to be remixed in a thousand directions.  The Ting Tings are famous for delivering contagious songs that refuse to leave your head, and “Hit Me Down Sonny” carries on this tradition.

The Ting Tings recently played for us in Los Angeles, and continue their tour in the US and beyond.  Find them at a festival or show near you.

Editor’s Note: The only time I’ve seen famed producer Rick Rubin out at a show in LA was for these guys, on their first jaunt through LA. We had recorded their U.S. radio debut for Morning Becomes Eclectic earlier that day.
