J-Boogie Exclusive Mix – Live in LA This Week
From the time J-BOOGIE released his first song, over a decade ago, I felt a connection to his sound. Since then he’s built a worldwide name for himself, and branded his own style that has developed and progressed while remaining constant.
You can always tell a J-BOOGIE remix or original tune. The dub elements, the culture-clash of a couple ethnic rhythms working perfectly together.. and the beat. ALWAYS a banging beat.
Boogie’s style incorporates sounds from Reggae to Bhangra to Funk and even African and Latin influence. You can hear all this and more on his new record “Undercover“, just released this month on OM Records, the label that he has been on since the beginning.
His live performances with his band (J-BOOGIE’S DUBTRONIC SCIENCE) are always a treat for the ears of everyone on the dancefloor, and his DJ sets keep him traveling from festivals to clubs around the globe.
This Saturday, December 10. J-BOOGIE and yours truly will be deejaying together to celebrate the official label launch party for the amazing CAPSULE LABS, a record pressing plant here in Los Angeles. Check out the invite here and enjoy a mix from J-BOOGIE below!
