KCRW has confirmed LA DJ legend Cut Chemist, The Duke Spirit, Gram Rabbit, and more to perform at our killer Halloween bash Masquerade on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Legendary Park Plaza. *get tickets here*
To celebrate, we’re giving you some free music! Check it out!

We have an exclusive free download of the track “Povo De Santo” from Cut Chemist’s new album Sound of the Police, which explores the roots of hip hop with a mix of Ethiopian, Colombian, Sudanese and Afro-Brazilian sounds
The master turntablist has not spun a full set in LA since the release of his new album, which is one of the most celebrated recordings at KCRW this year. Masquerade will be the place to hear it live and you can hear it streaming in its entirety online here.

UK rockers The Duke Spirit will deliver a powerful, punky, energetic set on Halloween that is sure to wake the dead. They’ve also been hard at work on some new tunes and we are happy to premiere one of them right here! This is “Everybody’s Under Your Spell,” from their forthcoming EP Kusama. Led by the take-no-prisoners smolder of singer Liela Moss, the band will cast their spell and satisfy all musical urges with a sizzling set of songs both new and old at Masquerade.

Gram Rabbit are famous for their high-energy live performances and considering they have bunny costumes in the mix on a normal night, you can only imagine what they will do on Halloween!
Described by fans as “Gwen Stefani meets DEVO“ they concoct an electro-funk mixture with devilish allure, creating a dance party everywhere they go. Stream a track from their excellent live session on KCRW earlier this year, it’s “Off With Your Head.”
