“Inception” Actor Cillian Murphy is Our Guest DJ

CIllianMurphyIn every movie I’ve seen with Cillian Murphy, he totally steals the show. It’s a combination of serious acting chops and those baby blue eyes. Whether playing the hero in “28 Days Later,” villainous Scarecrow in “Batman Begins,” a transvestite in “Breakfast on Pluto” or a dramatic turn in “The Wind that Shakes the Barley,” he never fails to capture your attention when he’s on screen.

I have always been curious about Cillian because he rarely mentions his personal life in interviews. I must admit, I was thrilled when he agreed to be a Guest DJ because what better way to get to know someone than through their music tastes.  From the “instant hit of summer” provided by Stevie Wonder to the first track he ever learned to play on guitar, he digs into his childhood for some favorites. He is also inspired equally by the imagination of Frank Zappa and the collaborative philosophy of Broken Social Scene.

Cillian stars in the upcoming Chris Nolan film Inception – which I hear is amazing. The movie opens this Friday which opens July 16. One of his co-stars, Joseph Gordon Levitt already joined us on the show and his set is definitely worth checking out if you missed it.
