KCRW’s World Festival Series at the Hollywood Bowl is back for another summer season! The successful collaboration between KCRW and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association continues, starting Sunday, June 17. Check out the impressive lineup below.

KCRW’s World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl:

Sunday, June 17, at 7 PM
FLYING LOTUS
LITTLE DRAGON
BADBADNOTGOOD

*** Purchase pre-sale tickets beginning 2/28 @ 10amPT here, using code KCRW18 ***

Flying Lotus, GRAMMY®-nominated music producer and mastermind of the exploding L.A. beat scene, will take the Bowl on a 3D space-age voyage. GRAMMY®-nominated Swedish electro-pop group Little Dragon turn on a dime from funk and R&B to soul and ‘80s inspired jams.

Sunday, June 24, at 7 PM
FATHER JOHN MISTY
GILLIAN WELCH

BIG THIEF

*** Purchase pre-sale tickets beginning 2/28 @ 10amPT here, using code KCRW18 ***

Father John Misty sings with the richness and command of a classic balladeer, but his sophisticated folk sound finds him devilishly examining the modern world, love, and himself, including cuts from the GRAMMY®-winning album Pure Comedy. Gillian Welch and her longtime musical partner David Rawlings, pillars of the modern acoustic music world, will perform an intimate set.

Sunday, July 1, at 7 PM
REGGAE NIGHT XVII
BERES HAMMOND
ALPHA BLONDY
PROTOJE

Master of lover’s rock Beres Hammond, the “African Bob Marley,” Alpha Blondy, and fresh roots lyricist Protoje, converge on the Bowl for the Hollywood Bowl’s 17th annual reggae festival.

Sunday, August 5, at 7 PM
BON IVER & TU DANCE
SPIRITUAL AMERICA BY WILLIAM BRITTELLE FEATURING WYE OAK AND METROPOLIS ENSEMBLE

In the West Coast premiere of this unprecedented collaboration, Bon Iver and the electrifying contemporary dance company TU Dance come together with choreography by Uri Sands and new music by Justin Vernon. Bon Iver’s “rustic chamber pop with an experimental edge” (Pitchfork) and “hyper-modern balladeering” (The Guardian) has garnered GRAMMY® Awards and significant international acclaim, and Saint Paul, Minnesota’s nine-member TU Dance navigates complex themes of social change, drawing together modern dance and classical ballet with African-based and urban vernacular movements.

Sunday, September 16, at 7 PM
THE WAR ON DRUGS
ALVVAYS

Sunday, September 23, at 7 PM
GRIZZLY BEAR
TV ON THE RADIO
KAITLYN AURELIA SMITH

The beloved Brooklyn – now L.A. based – band, Grizzly Bear, return with their textural, paradoxically intimate anthems and a praised fifth album, Painted Ruins. TV on the Radio returns with new music for a high-powered set of rhythmically charging, soulfully spangled art rock. Smith’s ethereal electronic compositions open.
