KCRW Presents: February is for Lovers of Music

Written by

As for February and its chocolate covered holiday, well… I love it! Any day that pushes chocolate covered everything in your face is fine by me. So let’s have chocolate be your focus this month because March is going to be busy. This is the month to buy concert tickets and once spring has sprung (did winter ever come?) – you’ll be stocked and stoked on your favorite bands coming to town.

Here are the new shows we have added to our KCRW Presents concert calendar:

CRSSD Festival with Empire of the Sun, Gorgon City (live), Bonobo (live), Little Dragon, The Presets and more at Waterfront Park in San Diego on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4

Fischerspooner at The Observatory on Friday, March 16

The Decemberists at The Arlington on Friday, March 23

Penguin Prison at The Teragram Ballroom on Friday, April 27

Editors at the Belasco on Sunday May 13

Sofi Tukker at The Fonda on Wednesday, May 16 –

Unknown Mortal Orchestra at The Wiltern on Friday, May 11

Preoccupations at the Echo on Friday, May 18

We hosted Rhye’s U.S. live radio debut in April 2013 (session here) and this Saturday afternoon, Raul Campos (3pm-6pm PT) will be giving away tickets to attend a private taped performance with Rhye. Small room, sultry vibes, and you in the audience. Wouldn’t this be a great early Valentine’s gift for you and that special someone in your life? I think so.

*If you want to know what other giveaways we have scheduled every day of the year, follow me on Twitter for daily updates. I’m fun.
