Track Premiere: NoMBe “Eden”

Written by

Following a tour with alt-J, LA-based NoMBe has garnered quite the buzz, and today we offer up a track premiere of his new song, “Eden.” This infectious new single has been on repeat for me, and is featured on the forthcoming album They Might’ve Even Loved Me (set for release in January via TH3RD Brain Records).

NoMBe is originally from Germany and his upbringing shaped his musical identity. From road trips listening to Earth, Wind & Fire to checking out the Beatles, he learned a lot from his parents. As a teenager, his friends exposed him to DJ culture and the electronic scene – all of this influenced his beat-driven, piano and guitar based compositions.

Here’s NoMBe on the new track:

“Eden is one of the more complex songs on the album lyrically. There’s a lot of obvious religious referencing throughout the song, which can be taken in many ways, but I just loved how it all interacted and shouldn’t be taken as a literal statement about my faith.”

Enjoy the new jam and check NoMBe out this Thursday at The Echo.
