Wolf Alice Debut Alternate “Don’t Delete the Kisses” Take and More On KCRW

Wolf Alice have the 2nd biggest album in the UK at this very moment, with their sophomore release Visions Of A Life (they battled Shania Twain for the top spot, which is a story unto itself!).

We were early supporters of the band — they even played our SXSW Showcase in 2015, alongside fellow future Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote and Odesza.

Despite their incredible success, they are still a young band and this album feels like an exploration — they weren’t afraid to take some chances and do things a little differently. They recorded it here in Los Angeles and were back in town for the Cal Jam fest before their official headlining tour kicks off.

With that in mind, we got a few extra special moments — they played Space & Time and St. Purple & Green live for the very first time (see below). Also, they did very special alternate version of “Don’t Delete the Kisses” that was simply fantastic.

Well worth a watch/listen and look out for them coming to a town near you!

p.s. We had a full conversation about the Fast and Furious series — bassist Theo Ellis loves Tokyo Drift, for the record.
