Video Premiere: Fink – Boneyard

Written by

During the summer of 2009, I heard “Sort of Revolution” by Fink, a song that instantly blew me away and soon became a personal favorite. Over the years, I have appreciated his songwriting and personal story, and I have followed his musical career closely. Fink, whose real name is Fin Greenall, has a knack for creating infectious songs, as well as pushing digital boundaries (notably, as one of the first artists to have an interactive app for both a live concert and an album).

Today we premiere something new from Fink. He was recently in the studio with famed producer Flood, and they worked on a new side project called Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club, Vol 1. This album is a lovely embodiment of Fin’s appreciation of classic blues musicians like John Lee Hooker and Chuck Berry. He even mimicked their recording technique, recording in a single take (with one mic) at his Berlin studio.

Check out the video for his new raw, mesmerizing song called “Boneyard.”
