Blue Monday is upon us, and I ain’t talking about the New Order song! Apparently ‘Blue Monday’ is the most depressing day of the year, and it takes place the third Monday of January. Chalk it up to post-holiday blues. BUT (and it’s a big but) we have 2 shows to turn that frown upside down!
Monday night you have Martin Courtney (of Real Estate) at the Echo. He’ll be performing songs off his debut solo album and probably some Real Estate jams too. So really, you gotta be there because….the other Monday show we’re presenting is Sold Out friends. The Mayer Hawthorne Revue brings all three Mayer Hawthorne projects to one stage at the Teragram Ballroom – Jaded Incorporated, Tuxedo and Mayer Hawthorne & The County.
If you’re thinking of a quick getaway for this 3 day weekend, I suggest heading to the desert tomorrow to check out Surfer Blood and Cayucas at Pappy & Harriet’s. Do it!
