Actually, It Was Pretty Unusual: Photos of Tom Jones at Apogee Studio

Written by

There are only a few performers out there who genuinely qualify as legends, but Welsh singer Sir Tom Jones is one such artist. For over 50 years, he has been a chart-topping musician, a Grammy Award-winner, a television and film star, and an international sex symbol. With his new album, Long Lost Suitcase, he has just completed a trilogy of roots-rock records that feature covers of personal favorites from the likes of Leonard Cohen, Gillian Welch, Hank Williams and many blues classics. He shared a few of these tracks, along with some Jones’ own hits from throughout his long career, for a very enthusiastic crowd, including a beaming Anne Litt (a legend in her own right), who conducted an interview with the man himself.
