Twin Danger: Artist You Should Know

twin danger
The sound of Twin Danger can most aptly be described as smoldering.

It’s a witches brew of noir jazz and midnight blues that seasoned novelists would describe to color a scene oozing with sexual tension or touch of mystery inside a dimly lit nightclub.

Vanessa Bley, daughter of legendary pianist Paul Bley, fronts the outfit with silvery vocals, perfect cheek bones, and copious amounts of lady voodoo while Stuart Matthewman, co-founder of Sade, keeps pace on saxophone.

The two have been collaborating for a handful of years, recording as Twin Danger with leaked demos providing a global buzz among modern jazz heads and music insiders.

Putting to rest months of rumors and speculation, news has finally broken of a debut album forthcoming this spring on Decca / Universal Music Classics.

For Grammy Weekend in LA, the dynamic duo hit a few stages with their band – Friday night at The Standard Hollywood, Saturday at Avalon Hollywood for the 7th annual MojaMoja Brunch, and Sunday night at the Del Monty Speakeasy in Venice with yours truly hosting and playing some records to open.
