KCRW DJ’s Top Ranked Albums of 2014

Written by

We posted all of our DJ’s Top 10 Albums of 2014, but here is a quick rundown of the top ranked albums according to KCRW’s talented tastemakers.

After years of staying under the radar while releasing a series of excellent remixes and solid singles, Norwegian producer Todd Terje finally gave us a full length. Obviously it was worth the wait, as it made it on 7 of our DJ’s Top 10 lists!

His album was followed closely behind by four incredible artists, selected by six DJs each. With Black Key’s Dan Auerbach as his producer, Ray LaMontagne made what is, perhaps, his best album since his striking debut. He tied with longtime favorite Beck, garage rock hero – and new Angeleno – Ty Segall, as well as Philly rockers the War on Drugs, who released a truly epic album.

All of them are solid listens through and through!
