Django Django Brings on Their Late Night Tales

Written by

Django Django have followed up their stellar self-titled debut with a gloriously woozy mix for excellent UK mixtape purveyors Late Night Tales.

An eclectic trip through their record collection (and no doubt influences) the mix features tracks from Outkast, Map of AfricaThe Beach BoysMassive Attack, Primal Scream, Harry Nilsson and hip-hop sample classic Bob James’Nautilus“.

The inspired mix additionally features a remarkably faithful (until it’s not) Django Django cover of The Monkees’ psychedelic masterpiece “Porpoise Song” and ends with the final chapter of the spoken word piece Flat of Angles (read by Benedict Cumberbatch) that has been a serial on the last 3 Late Night Tales releases.

The awesomely wavey cover (you can hear below) is also being released as a 7″ for Record Store Day.
