KCRW has put together a Glow Soundscape, an audio tour for the all night art event happening on Santa Monica Beach on Saturday, September 28.
As the producer, I loved finding music to compliment the artists talking about the incredible installations they will be revealing that night.
Each of the 15 Soundscapes feature exclusive tracks from composers or new artists, mixed with introductions by KCRW DJs and other sounds elements, to create a sonically immersive audio experience.

LA-based producer, composer, artist, DJ, remixer and two-time Grammy nominee Carmen Rizzo has an incredible and diverse array of artist credits that includes Coldplay, Dido, Seal, Jem, Huun Huur Tu and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
We’re thrilled to have a brand new track written and produced by Carmen as part of Glow’s Audio guide. “Romancia”, from his forthcoming EP, is a cool, electronically vibe- filled work. It is an aural treat for the senses.

Brighton is the UK’s Santa Monica – just without the sandy beaches and regular sunshine!
But it does have a great wealth of musical talent – including Fatboy Slim and Bat For Lashes. So given Glow’s location it seemed apt to include some tracks from Brighton-based artists, namely Luo and Us Baby Bear Bones.
Luo is a three-piece electronic band, which includes producer & writer Josh Trinnaman. Their track “Dissolver” was recently featured as part of Brighton’s Soundscreen event where artists are paired with bands to produce a visual response to their music. Us Baby Bear Bones is a trio led by vocalist Puff Gandolfo, alongside Daisy Emily Warne and multi instrumentalist Luke Phillips.
Their songs are dreamy, complex and hypnotic, mixing evocative vocals with a diverse array of electronic sounds and instruments to create a multi layered sound that will suck you in in the nicest possible way!

The Glow Soundscape also includes tracks from The Angel, Lee Ryda, Arlen Figgis, Ludovico Einaudi’s side project Whitetree, Mr Fogg, William Arcane, Fishing and London Grammar, with an instrumental version of their track “Strong“. (The video for the original version was shot in Los Angeles, check it out!)
