Psychemagik’s Hypnogogic Edit of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”

Written by

Like Pilooski and Todd Terje, the UKs Psychemagik are seemingly ceaselessly in their studio (in the  mythical “Cosmic Forest“) creating spectacular edits that set them apart from the endless wave of edits that spring up all over the internet like mushrooms.

They’ve released remarkable edits from everything from timeless jams by Wang Chung and Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes to music by new artists like Clock Opera and Metronomy. And they do it with such class and style, you can distinguish their edits from other producers.

They’ve recently released an import only collection of some of their best work (which, although import only, is available at reputable record shops like Turntable Lab and Amoeba.) However, good lads that they are, they generally are willing to share via their exhaustive collection on Soundcloud.

Their latest dreamy edit is fittingly of Fleetwood Mac‘s classic “Dreams.” They give it a bunch of beachy synth washes and thicken the low end to great effect. This is a sumptuous end of summer listening.
