Miike Snow Are Back! Hear Devil’s Work

KCRW hosted the U.S. radio live debut of Swedish trio Miike Snow back in 2009 and we watched them become the darlings of the indie music world with their extremely catchy pop songs (though to this day, many still don’t know how to pronounce their name! It’s MIKE, not mee-kay, as some like to say).

It’s one of my favorite things about working at KCRW – discovering a band via Jason and MBE, getting to see them play live in our studios, and then having tons of people talking about them many months later. Their debut was chock full of great songs – “Silvia”, “Song for No One” – and now we’re getting a hint of what’s ahead for their sophomore album “Happy to You”. Check out “Devil’s Work”:

The band self-produced the album, which is not surprising when you remember that two of the three members are the Grammy award-winning duo know as Bloodshy & Avant (aka Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg), who worked with Britney Spears, Madonna and more before forming Miike Snow with singer Andrew Wyatt.  It will be out March 27 via Downtown Records/Universal Republic.

Andreas Nilsson directed the video for “Devil’s Work” which you can see below.

More to come!
