Event: Conversations through Music With Director Jason Reitman & Cut Chemist

Written by

We are bringing together two incredible minds for a one-of-a-kind evening in Downtown LA on December 10! I’m personally so excited about this one.

A little background…Director Jason Reitman (“Juno”, “Up in The Air”) was the very first guest we ever taped as part of the Guest DJ Project. He was so excited about his picks that it made us all giddy. His love for music was infectious.  World-renowned Cut Chemist and Reitman are close personal friends and you might have spotted Cut (aka Lucas McFadden) as – what else – a chemistry teacher in “Juno”.

We decided it was time to bring their brilliance – and friendship – together in a public setting, hence the unique music event “Conversations through Music” (part of Hyundai’s Re:Mix Lab L.A.) on Saturday, December 10.  And, best of all, it’s FREE with RSVP!

With two turntables and a microphone (ok…two microphones) Reitman and Cut will explore the songs that have inspired them and their creative process in a loose “Conversation through Music”. Both artists have new projects in the works and will give us hints about what’s ahead.

Cut Chemist is working on a new album set for a Spring 2012 release and Reitman will be flying in for the event straight from the New York premiere of his new movie, “Young Adult”. It is based on a script by Diablo Cody and stars Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt.

The conversation will be hosted by OUR Jason (Bentley) and recorded for later broadcast on Morning Becomes Eclectic.

After an hour-long chat, Bentley and Cut Chemist will take turns at the decks for a dance party to close out our show.

Part interview, part dance party, it is free and open to the public. RSVP is required.
