Beans on Toast: Love From London

Beans on Toast.

Initially, you applaud him for the inspired name. Then, you applaud him for his laid back, self proclaimed “drunk folk” music, often made up on the spot and featuring delights such as supermarkets, festivals and falling in love.

Like actual beans on toast, this singer just makes you happy. His music will take you back to that festival moment, dancing around in the mud with no idea where you are or who you’re with, followed by the brilliant realisation that it just doesn’t matter. Take the track “ArtMoneyArt“; the country beats and tongue in cheek lyrics promise to bring a smile and the repeat button. Although primarily a solo performer, he seems up for anything and will play with who ever and at what ever is nearby.

ARTMONEYART by Beans on Toast

Combine all this with his tendency to stop halfway through a song to share an idea he’s just had, and you end up at the conclusion that people either love him, or just don’t get it. We love him. And we get it.
