Angelo Sotira since before deviantART – which is now the largest online art community in the world – went live. One of my best friends just happened to be his roommate in a house in Hollywood and I remember walking past his bedroom and he was always uber-focused at his computer.
Little did I know that a) he had already, as a teenager, created one of the first MP3 downloading sites and b) was about to launch what would become a huge social network based around art. He is a true tech entrepreneur and visionary and when he talks about the site he co-founded, and now runs as CEO, it’s hard not to get caught up in his enthusiasm.
I was thrilled to finally get him in for the Guest DJ Project – after all, music was the basis of his early work and it made total sense.
