Beady Eye – The Roller

Written by

Oasis always claimed a gigantic influence from The Beatles, but the new song from Beady Eye –  the group formed by members of Oasis after the departure of guitarist Noel Gallagher – may be the closest yet. It’s hard to hear “The Roller” without thinking of the Beatles (and I mean that as the highest compliment possible) and then you see the video, where Liam Gallagher literally looks like George Harrison. It’s pretty wild.

But, more than anything, it’s just a great song. Jason’s been spinning it a lot of Morning Becomes Eclectic and you can enjoy it below.

Beady Eye is releasing the new album Different Gear, Still Speeding on their own label in the UK and Ireland and on LA’s own Dangerbird Records on March 1, 2011. Can’t wait.
